Explore Meuse is not just about Dinant and Namur. The region is home to 12 cities on the banks of the river Meuse, each with their own attractions. More than enough to create a jam-packed itinerary. Do you prefer “slow tourism”? Then drive through Anhée and visit the gardens of Annevoie or take a ride on a railbike. Continue your tour to Namur, enjoy a cruise on the Meuse and visit the citadel to immerse yourself in its heritage. Afterwards, visit Dinant and its collegiate church at the foot of the cliffs, which brings so much character to the city. Don’t forget to take a break and relax in one of the region’s excellent restaurants. Explore Meuse is also home to numerous remarkable artists. Take Félicien Rops, for example. A painter, designer, and engraver, born and raised in Namur. The city pays homage to him through a museum that has to be discovered. Explore Meuse also offers a strawberry museum in Wépion, and several museums dedicated to archaeology and medieval heritage. Did you know that Adolphe Sax was born in Dinant? Visit the “Maison de Monsieur Sax” (the house of Mr. Sax) to learn about the life of this brilliant inventor of the saxophone.
