With its warm and shimmering colours, the autumn is inviting you to come for a stroll!

In a town or in the countryside, with or without a guide, you will find what makes you happy in Explore Meuse. And that’s just as well because there’s something for everyone in the region! Each of our walks has its own speciality: panoramic views, off the beaten track alleyways, walks in our Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia or in a nature reserve. In summary, walks and hikes at the gateway of the Belgian Ardennes that are out of the ordinary and that will immerse you in our beautiful hilly landscape.

Our selection of walks and hikes

In our countryside: marked trails through woods and meadows, valleys with small rivers lost in wild vegetation and viewpoints revealing all the splendour of our region, that’s what we offer you on more than 2000km of walks.

In our cities: themed tours, some for foodies, often historical but always full of discoveries! Walks along the Meuse or guided tours that will help you discover little-known sites in the cities of Namur and Dinant.

Hard to decide, isn’t it? Here are our “favourite” itineraries to totally immerse yourself in Explore Meuse.

7 Meuses hike

Starting from the towpath at Rivière, a little upstream from the lock, this walk takes you straight to the heart of the matter by guiding you to the long climb up to the exceptional viewpoint of the seven Meuses. Enjoy a 180° view of the many twists and turns of the river Meuse and try to spot the paragliders taking off a bit further away. The rest of the hike is much easier with the descent of the bends and curves towards Rouillon-Annevoie and the return along the river.

LES CASCATELLES WALK – Falmignoul

In the summer, take a break at the “Passage d’eau”, a temporary bar open in July and August, which is located at the Waulsort marina, located halfway along the walk.

If you wish, you can extend your route by taking the “Passeur d’eau” (water ferry) to the beautiful village of Waulsort, where you can walk between the Mosan villas.

The best time to walk up the Cascatelles is in the autumn when you can enjoy the gorgeous golden colours of the forest and the babbling brooks. Be careful, it’s slippery!
