Town hall of Eghezée
Eghezée, a gourmet countryside!
A very agricultural commune, Eghezée has a substantial heritage of large farms dating from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. The landscape is divided between imposing farms and streams, fields as far as the eye can see and gentle valleys.
Discover this region of the Hesbaye plateaux on foot or by bike, where you can admire a number of listed monuments and sites and follow the Chaussée Romaine that once linked Cologne to Bavai.
Your taste buds will be delighted to sample a dish at one of Belgium's most Michelin-starred restaurants, "L'air du temps" in Liernu. Of course, there are plenty of other restaurants to tempt you too.
And don't forget to stop off at the Upignac farm on your way home, where you'll find local produce such as foie gras and apple juice.
3,2,1...Enjoy!
