Wildlife stroll in the village of Malonne
This walk will take you to discover the village of Malonne and some of the little streets that are not usually visited.
From the rue du Fond, walk up the rue des Monastères to the cemetery of Malonne.
You can, if you wish, pay homage to the soldiers who died during the battle of Neufchâteau (August 22, 1914).
Then take the dirt road along the cemetery, which offers you a breathtaking view in the direction of the Saint-Berthuin Institute (former abbey of Malonne, founded in the 15th century).
You then arrive at the place called "Champ de Malonne", then go down to "Les Ternes", before passing over a small stream, the Landoir. After that, you follow the small path going up to the rue du Chepson, which leads you directly to a nice viewpoint on the surrounding countryside.
Then follow the road to Reumont, in order to bypass the Reumonjoie school, and then go down the road to Navine.
Before reaching your starting point, you will pass by the Mutien-Marie Center, a place of pilgrimage and prayer, which also houses a museum and an audiovisual room telling the story of the Saint.
You can also visit the Chapel of Saint Berthuin and the Notre Dame Cave.
