Les Dames dans le folklore fossois

This year, the ReGare sur Fosses-la-Ville team is putting the spotlight on the women, past and present, who keep Fosses folklore alive! 

This new exhibition will focus on the Dames Chinelles, the clowns and the witches who perform during the Laetare; the ranks, the marchers, the canteen girls, the horsewomen and the drum major who make the Marches shine; but also the musicians, the members of the Limotches committees, the dressmakers and the Saint-Feuillen sisters. 

With the help of educational panels, never-before-seen testimonials, costumes, objects and photos, you'll be able to meet the Fossoises who actively contribute to the richness of our folklore. 

If you'd like to extend your visit, we invite you to try out one of our educational activities for young and old alike. Dedicated to school, extracurricular and family groups, these activities are available by prior arrangement. 

Open Tuesday to Sunday and on public holidays from 10am to 5pm.
