Métamor’Fosses

To do this, we invite you to discover 60 old postcards compared with as many current views of Fosses and its villages. These views were taken by Fosses photographer Marc Michaux for the Cercle d'Histoire et de Généalogie de Fosses-la-Ville.

The before-and-after shots are complemented by 10 enlargements of old postcards, accompanied by some 20 educational panels.

The whole is further enhanced by audiovisual archives and a few surprises...

This exhibition is an opportunity to explore the daily life of the people of Foss in the 1900s: How did they get around? What means of transport were used? What did people do in the street?

And by extension: what similarities and/or differences does this lifestyle have with our own?

Thanks to the clues visible in the old views, our team offers you an original dialogue between the generations and invites you to reflect on the evolution of Fosses-la-Ville.
